The Sleeping Houdini

Cooper has an amazing talent! He can "escape" out of his clothing while he sleeps. I am totally impressed. Check it out...

He got his whole arm out of that sleeper, and it was even snapped!

In this photo he got his leg out of his footie pajamas!

This kid has talent, huh?

Changes!

Oh man, I am not a good blogger! Uggh! Just like I am not good at taking pictures, videos, etc. to commemorate Cooper's first year. Oh well! Here are the important updates...

He CRAWLS! It is so amazing to me that one day he can't do it, and the next he is racing over to see Gram. So cool.

Not only that, but Cooper also claps, uses sign language for "more" and "all finished". He also tries to imitate practically everything Rob does. It is adorable. My favorite is the face he makes when you tell him to smile. It is such a cheesy grin.

Cooper is also taking swimming lessons. He loves it! He gets so excited when we approach the pool and screams the whole time I try to change him out of his swim clothes. The pool is 94 degrees, can you blame him?

Yum!

Wow! I can't believe Cooper is already 6 months old! He visited the doctor for his wellness check-up last week. I love learning his new weight, length, etc. and especially get a kick out of the percentiles! So when the nurse weighed him I promptly commented, "That is exactly what he weighed at his last appointment!". Then when she looked at me with a funny expression on her face, I figured I had said something I should not have. It turns out your baby is supposed to gain weight from their 4 month to 6 month check up. Who knew?! Cooper certainly didn't.

Cooper is healthy and all, but I have got to beef this kid up! So, solids are the new thing in our house. My mom came over and we made loads of baby food and stored them in freezer. We made carrots, peas, oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes, strawberries, apples, and beans. Homemade baby food... yum, yum, yum. My mom knows how to do everything and she is super efficient, so it all happened really fast. Here is a look at my new eater:

Cooper loves eating pears out of this fancy netted contraption!

Who knew rice cereal could taste so good?!

Lean into it!
